She attended Christopher Newport University and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Social Work Degree. While at CNU, she interned with the court system as a victim advocate and also studied abroad in Costa Rica working with at-risk youth. Amanda attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated in 2011 with a Master of Clinical Social Work Degree. At VCU she interned in prevention, foster care, and adoptions. Some of Amanda’s experience includes licensing foster/adoptive parents through Social Services and also working in intensive, outpatient psychiatric healthcare through Community Services Board. Janet Mildrew, RD
Dietitian Janet Mildrew, RD, CSO was born in Washington, DC, and has lived in Virginia Beach, VA for over 20 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of MD and has been a registered dietitian since 1984. Janet has received her Board Certification as a Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO), and is an active member of the Oncology Nutrition Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She enjoys reading and discussing the scientific literature as well as popular literature regarding nutrition and cancer, weight management and blood sugar management.

Nancy A. Hallingse, LMT, OMT
Nancy Hallingse was born and raised in Asheville, NC but has lived in Virginia Beach, VA since 1991. She graduated from Belmont Abbey/Sacred Heart College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Her interest and passion for helping others led her to massage therapy. While working at the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage in Virginia Beach beginning in 1995, she attended and graduated in 1999; she went on to become the Director of the school from 2003-2014. In early 2014, she took her first course in Oncology Massage and knew this was the direction she wanted to follow. She is certified in Oncology Massage and is a preferred provider with the Society for Oncology Massage. She is licensed in both Virginia and Hawaii.
She is also a certified health and wellness coach, having attended and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, NY, as well as the Institute for the Psychology of Eating in Boulder, CO.
